The Reports tab

Open a class's Mastery Board and choose Reports. Until someone has a score on that board the tab says there is nothing to report yet. Once there is one, it reports on the unit chosen above the tabs: the top of the tab is a list headed Everything measured in that unit, weakest first — its objectives and standards, scored on that unit's questions alone. Each row shows:

• The objective or standard, and which of the two it is.
• A bar and the class average on it.
• How many of the unit's questions it covers.

Beside the heading, All units switches to the whole board: the list becomes Everything this class has been measured on, every score on the board counts, and each row says how many units it was measured across. The unit's name beside it switches back, and pressing a unit above the tabs shows that unit again. A unit nobody has been scored on yet says so.

Each row carries a radio button, and pressing anywhere on the row chooses it: the report under the list is on whichever row is chosen, and the weakest is chosen until you choose another. The choice is kept in the page's address, so a reload, Back from a child's page, or a favourite of the page comes back to the same one.

The report underneath

Its heading repeats the name and the class average. A standard's words are printed under its code, so you don't have to look the code up. On a unit, every score in that unit that touched it counts; on All units, every score that touched it, wherever on the board it was marked.

Then the class in three cards — Mastered, Developing and Needs Support — each listing the children in it, lowest first, with their percent. Press a name to open that child's page. Anyone with no score on it is named in a “Not assessed on this” box below, and is left out of the class average rather than counted as a zero.

A unit whose questions carry no objective or standard is reported question by question instead, and on All units such a board is reported unit by unit. The tab says so either way. Give those questions an objective or a standard in Board Templates and it reports by objective and standard.

Print at the top right prints what the tab is showing — the unit, or All units — and asks whether to print the one on screen or every one, each on its own page.
