Printing

Every printable page opens as a plain black-on-white sheet, and your own browser does the printing — nothing to install, on an iPad, a Chromebook, a laptop or a phone.

What you can print

• The class record: the Summary tab of a Mastery Board, then Print. Every child down the side, every unit across the top, an average for each and a class average row. A square reading abs was absent or exempt, and a blank square was not assessed.
• A child's summary: open the child, then Print summary.
• A report: the Reports tab, then Print.
• Small groups: the Small groups tab, then Print, once there are groups.
• A sheet to mark on paper: the Assessments tab, then Print sheet. One blank sheet, meant one per child: a name and a date, a box for absent, the words to circle, the choices to ring or a line for the points, and a box for notes.

Where the unit's template has a PDF of the real test, Print sheet becomes a menu: that PDF, or the Assessment sheet the app makes from the unit.

Choosing how it prints

A report and small groups ask first. What to print is the skill on screen or every one, each on its own page; for groups, Pages is All groups on one page or Each group on its own page, with ruled lines for notes. Orientation is Portrait or Landscape, and Print in is Color or Black and white — colour keeps the level colours, black and white saves toner. Both open in a new tab with the print window already up, and the choices sit above the sheet if you change your mind.

The class record, a child's summary and a sheet to mark on ask nothing. They open in the same tab and say Ready to print at the top: use your browser's own Print command.

The strip at the top of a printable page — the choices, and the button that prints — is never printed. To keep a file rather than paper, choose Save as PDF in the print window.
