A child's progress page

Press a child's name wherever it appears: the Students tab of the class, a row of a board's Summary, a name in a report, or a name on What to reteach.

The top of the page is three numbers — overall, with the level it falls in; how many units have been assessed this year; and how many they were absent for, which count towards no average. Below that, once more than one unit has a score, their year is drawn as a line with the levels marked across it.

What a conference uses

• Objectives and standards — weakest first, each with the class average marked on the same bar, so a parent can see where their child sits rather than only a percent.
• Unit by unit: every unit anything has been recorded on — a mark, an absence or a note — from every Mastery Board in the class, how many of its items were asked, the percent or Absent, and each item with the mark it was given.
• Words to practise: the letters and words this child actually missed, wherever the marking recorded which ones.
• Any note written while recording that unit, kept under it.

Print summary at the top right prints it as a plain sheet — overall, the objectives against the class, unit by unit, the words to practise and the notes — ready to hand over.

The browser tab says “Student progress” and the class, not the child's name. A classroom computer is shared, and its history should not list children by name.

A child who has left the class still has a page. It opens with all of their work, tagged Unenrolled.
