Opening a class from ClassLink or Schoology

There is nothing to install in either. Every class's menu has Class link, which copies that class's address, and the address works anywhere a link does.

Copy the link

1. On Classes, open the three dots beside the class — or the ones at the top of the class's own page.
2. Choose Class link, then Copy.

In ClassLink

1. In LaunchPad, open the App Library and choose Add App.
2. Paste the link as the website address, give it a name, and pick an icon.
3. If your school doesn't let teachers add their own apps, ask whoever runs ClassLink there to add it as a weblink, assigned to staff.

In Schoology

1. Open a course or group that only staff are in — one for your grade team, say — and not the course your class is in.
2. Choose Add Materials, then Add File/Link/External Tool, then Link.
3. Paste the link, name it something like “Mastery Board”, and save it.

Children enrolled in a Schoology course can see the materials in it, which is why the link goes where only staff look. A child who followed it would reach the sign-in page and go no further: Mastery Board has no accounts for children.

The first time it's opened you sign in as usual. After that the browser stays signed in and the tile opens straight to the class.

A tile is only a link, so it doesn't get past a school's web filter. If Mastery Board is blocked on school devices, ask your technology department to allow masteryboard.com.
